Job Description

  • Manage the department; hereunder coordinate and organize the work
  • Contribute to cooperation/experience transfer between the equipment group and other workshops
  • Requisition of necessary equipment and services according to budget
  • Manage the cleanliness and order in the workshop
  • Participate in the duty scheme if necessary
  • Other tasks as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

Performance responsibilities for position

  •  Delivering the company’s products/services by the agreed quality, cost and delivery time
  • Correct prioritizing to ensure the equipment is delivered according to given deadlines, and necessary quality control is carried out according to internal and external requirements, regulations, and policies
  • Follow rules and procedures, as well as reacting to and reporting incidents, dangerous behavior, and dangerous conditions
  • Ensure maintenance is planned and executed according to established processes and standards
  • Ensure that our maintenance system, IFS, is used according to procedures and routines

  • Serve as a positive role model and lead by example for your team.

  • Approve overtime only when necessary to meet business requirements, ensuring efficient resource management.
  • Review and approve expense claims and time booking of direct reports in compliance with the company’s policies and guidelines.
  • Encourage open communication and collaboration within the team to create a positive and productive working environment.
  • Foster an inclusive work environment by promoting diversity, addressing unconscious bias, and ensuring equal opportunities for all employees.
  • Support employee mental health by promoting a healthy work-life balance, recognizing stress, and encouraging access to company-provided resources for mental well-being.

Strategy, action plan and procedures

 

  • Continuously improve and update procedures and routines for the department, as well as implement and follow up actions to secure high quality on our services and deliveries
  • Joint responsibility for preparing and following up goals and action plans for the entire workshop

Client relations (internal and external)

  • Contribute to provide excellent customer service

Social responsibilities

  • Contribute to create a good working environment
  • Contribute to recommend improvements, as well as record discrepancies with suggestions for corrective measures
  • Work with management to develop own expertise

Systems

  • Follow all applicable instructions and procedures to maintain a good quality and effectiveness of the work
  • Use the systems and programs required and authorized by the company 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mechanical craft certificate, other technical/mechanical education or long relevant experience may compensate for lack of craft certificate
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Experience in a management position preferrable
  • Good written and oral English skills
