We currently have an opening for the position of Temporary Rig Re-Certification Project Engineer to join our drilling equipment 5-year re-certification and maintenance project within the Operations department in Aberdeen. This is a temporary role, expected to last around 18 months, starting in April 2025.
The main responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
Prepare and execute Project scope:
- Participate in planning, implementation and execution of project
- Liaise with vendors on recertification activities
- Procurement of drilling equipment parts required for project scopes
- Generate workpacks to support specified scopes of work
- Project reporting
- Participate in procedural and risk reviews
- Oversee incoming documentation and monitor conformance to requirements
Follow –up project execution:
- Performance manage vendors
- Coordination and cooperation with offshore crew
- Installation follow up reporting and completion tracking
- Final documentation / reporting
The successful candidate must have the following:
- The right to work in the UK
- Experience with drilling equipment recertification projects
- Experience with major drilling equipment repairs and maintenance
- Experience with installation and commissioning drilling equipment
- Knowledge of drilling equipment industry standards
