A vacancy has arisen for the position of Supply Chain Manager – GBS UK. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the UK supply chain function in the UK, maintaining a good flow of information to the teams
  • Collaborate with the global SCM function to ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Support and guide the UK SCM teams in their delivery to all GBS clients, external and internal, ensuring effective prioritisation
  • Communicate/collaborate with Business Area representatives to understand priorities and deliverables to ensure expectations are met and supply chain services are delivered safely and cost effectively 
  • Be the senior discipline advisor to the procure to pay process and ensure a good understanding of the responsibility and accountability by all members of the UK GBS SCM teams and relevant wider UK teams
  • Develop and drive KPIs for the SCM function in the UK and drive continuous improvement
  • Monitor any non-conformance reports raised against the UK GBS SCM teams or processes and ensure learnings learnt are shared
  • Maintain and control the approved vendors list for UK vendors 
  • Support and drive the process for identifying vendors, obtaining quotations, negotiating the purchase of goods and services and managing vendor commitments and relationships
  • Effectively manage warehouse costs and implement improvements and cost savings where possible to reduce operating costs
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks where possible
  • Initiate and run/participate as needed internal and external audits in SCM
  • Ensure that the correct certification and customs clearance preparation is achieved and ensure compliance with all customs requirements.
  • To ensure that the provision of out of hours cover is maintained and available when required
  • Contribute to UK ESOS & ESG reporting

 

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • A minimum of 7 years relevant experience 
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Forward thinking, with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Extensive knowledge of the end to end procure to pay process
  • Good understanding of logistics and warehouse processes and customs regulations
  • Robust diligence in assessing suppliers
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and tools within area of responsibility – experience in using ERP systems
