Temporary Maintenance Planner (12 – 18 months)

A temporary vacancy has arisen for the position of Maintenance Planner.  This position is expected to last between 12 and 18 months.

The key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the responsibilities detailed below:

  • Take ownership of maintenance /operations implementation plans
  • Maintain an understanding of the client planning systems and maintain an Odfjell drilling planning process that interfaces effectively
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with client planning and Odfjell maintenance/operations personnel (onshore and offshore)
  • Ensure that offshore personnel requirements are understood and reflected in the schedule of maintenance work scopes
  • Resource level plans in line with maintenance work scope, with pro-active scheduling aligned to operational requirements
  • Track and report plan progress to all stakeholders as per management/ client requirements
  • Liaise with client planning teams to ensure compliance to client planning process
  • Correctly Schedule / re-schedule new and existing maintenance using planning software and CMMS
  • Collate comprehensive planning packages for opportune shutdowns & rig start-ups / ramp downs
  • Attend and participate in relevant Odfjell/Client maintenance, operations, and planning meetings/forums
  • Pro-actively manage maintenance deferrals/re-scheduling
  • Monitor and optimise maintenance performance to established KPI’s
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver maintenance reports in support of the Odfjell Technology Maintenance and Operations Teams
  • Drive for continuous improvement over all aspects of our service and provide demonstrable proof of actual success to the clients
  • Download data gathered by client reporting suites and load into spreadsheets for analysis

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • Have previous planning experience within a maintenance role within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in the use of Microsoft Packages, SAP PM module and Maximo.
  • Have working knowledge of Primavera and MS Project
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Maintenance, Operations, Commercial and Safety within an appropriate industry
  • Ideally have previous drilling experience
  • The ability to liaise effectively across different teams and with onshore management
