Odfjell Technology Projects and Engineering (P&E) division is experiencing an increase in activity and needs to strengthen our onshore Projects & Engineering teams in Norway.
As an Electrical or Instrument Engineer in the Projects & Engineering group, your role is to provide services for floating offshore wind units, mobile offshore drilling units, and/or other offshore installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare study reports, technical reports, work packages, P&IDs, and procedures for offshore marine systems.
- Contribute to the design and dimensioning of equipment for modification, upgrade, and newbuild projects, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Develop procedures, design basis, and functional descriptions to support project execution.
- Assist in the early-phase design and development of the electrical/automation system design.
- Participate in the preparation of technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, structural, drilling, and subsea engineers.
- Follow up with suppliers, ensuring that designs comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Actively participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, etc., alongside QHSE and Technical Safety Engineers.
- Contribute to the development of in-house tools and knowledge sharing within the group.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Higher technical education within Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Drilling and Subsea Control Systems, or related fields (MSc, BSc, or equivalent).
- Additional electrical, instrumentation, or automation certificates are an advantage.
- Knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, FebDok, Office 365, and similar.
- Good verbal and written skills in English and Norwegian.
