We recently integrated tubular handling services into the core rig crew of a customer, aiming to reduce costs and enhance safety by eliminating ad-hoc TRS crews. Over 405 days, Odfjell Technology completed 37 TRS operations (865+ hours) with zero non-productive time, saving over £500,000.
These results were achieved by the existing crew without any additional specialists, with no impact on service delivery or HSE performance. Operational efficiencies also improved as crew familiarity with TRS activities increased which boosted productivity. Continuous learning enabled further optimisation of the TRS equipment, enhancing overall performance.

By utilising multi-skilled crews, we minimised the need for additional personnel in TRS operations, all while maintaining high service quality and strong HSE performance.
