Odfjell Technology’s growth and culture at the forefront of ONS 2024 success
A week of energy, enthusiasm and engagement is what Jonny Kristensen, Vice President of Global Sales at Odfjell Technology, reflects as the key takeaway of ONS 2024.
Welcoming over 500 attendees and participants at our Workshop and Technology Sessions across three days, entertaining over 1,000 people during our ONS 2024 Post-Conference Reception, and attracting over 100 people to our Apprenticeship and Careers Events, the entire Odfjell Technology team rose to the challenge of showcasing our culture, credentials and capabilities.
We hosted delegates from across the world – from Latin America to Asia – and enjoyed the opportunity for collaborative and future-facing conversations across the global energy value chain. Teamwork makes it happen, and we are proud to say Odfjell Technology achieved all of this during ONS 2024.
Showcasing our culture
The enthusiastic discussions between our subject matter experts and participants showcased the passion and dedication for shaping the future of the industry, resulting in overwhelmingly positive feedback from the attendees. It is the strength of Odfjell Technology’s relationships – with each other, our customers and our suppliers – that enabled us to deliver this fantastic experience during ONS 2024. It is this same passion that drives the highest level of integrated technology and engineering specialist services delivery for our customers, 24/7.
Showcasing our credentials
We have more than 2,400 employees around the world and consistently expand our ranks with added talent. Our Apprenticeship and Careers Events during ONS 2024 resulted in attendees eager to get involved in the energy industry at this exciting time of technology development and transition, which Odfjell Technology is proud to be part of.
Being a company still in its infancy, while harnessing over 50 years of heritage through the Odfjell family, it was energising to engage with industry professionals about our global offering. Even during the time between ONS 2022 and this year’s event, we have significantly expanded our services. By hosting the series of Workshop and Technology Sessions, essentially a mini-exhibition of our capabilities, we grasped an ideal opportunity to demonstrate and discuss in depth our industry-leading equipment and technology with a global audience.
Showcasing our capabilities
Our experts showcased our tubular running services and tools, like the UltraFMS, Scissor Lift Tong, Control Line Arm and Casing Running Tool (CRTi), and similarly across our wellbore cleanup range, our newly launched MAXGrip fishing magnet, UltraMag casing magnet, and DrillRdillo.
Slot recovery and plug and abandonment (P&A) solutions, like our rigless intervention unit and a sample of our drilling tool rental fleet – including high-performance drilling tools like Boulder Buster – were also part of our session.
Rig inspection, mobile offshore units management and platform operations were all high on the agenda, alongside our heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC-R) technologies and energy transition solutions. Our well intervention capabilities like the Continuous Circulation System, fishing and remedial services, pipe cutter and milling systems, were all hot topics too.
“We are harvesting the experiences from ONS2024 now to prepare and plan for ONS 2026, with creative and collaborative ideas in the pipeline. In all that we do, we are committed to nurturing the same positive culture and ethos, across all our global locations. Odfjell Technology’s Forward Vision event series during ONS 2024 has set a high standard of engagement and achievement, and it’s clear that, united in our skills and talents, there’s no limit to what Odfjell Technology can do next.”
